Indian Origin Leaders
The British election results are being celebrated in India, 6,693 km from London. The reason for this was the bumpy victory of candidates of Indian origin. Over 60 Indian-origin candidates also participated in the elections to 650 seats.
Out of which around 12 candidates won. All the Conservative Party MPs in the last election have got the party after this election.
Gagan Mohindra and Claire Qutinho were fielded. Apart from the winning party, the rest of the parties, the Labor Party, had 13, 12 were from the Right-Right candidate party, 8 from the Liberal Democrats, 2 from the UKIP, one from the Green Party and two independents.
Coutinho of Indian origin said that the time has come for Brexit. After which investment can be made on schools, colleges, hospitals, police. Preeti Patel, who was part of Boris Johnson's cabinet and the UK Home Secretary, has also won.
Apart from this, Damad Rishi Sunak of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has also got an easy win. Alok Sharma, former UK International Development Minister, has also received a living from Reading West.
